You can do anything you set your mind to do....

Some of us go through life living day by day with blinders on and wearing our “suit” of armor, which some people might refer to as a fat suit.  For some of us, as long as we wear our armor and know the rules of life we are protected from trying something new, setting goals or even living life to the fullest.  We will always wonder “what if”….

Well like most of you, I know what I needed to do and what I should do but I was not really ready to take those steps to live a better life just yet.  I half stepped it by going to the gym several times a week and on some days eating right but never fully committing to see what would happen if I truly applied myself 100%.  All the while looking at other people who were truly enjoy live and what it had to offer; instead I sat on the edge watching and wondering why and what if….

So after a year of watching one of my co-workers, now a really good friend, work on goals to live a better life, I ran out of excuses and said okay, I would go and workout with her.

May 1st – my first class at The Worx by Maia.  Wholly crap, what was I thinking and who is this person asking me about my “whys” and “what do I wants”.  By the time I left that night, I had paid for my first month of classes, and I kept going back. .  It is funny; my daughter went with me to that first class and has not been back since.  She encourages me every day, helps me cook and plan what I need to eat and will even pack my lunch bag for me.

June 24th – hey how about signing up for a 60 Day Journey Challenge… I know, what you are thinking, I have heard it every day for the past two months at work.  Are you crazy, working out five days a week, is too much… You really only need to go every other day and that should be fine…. Are you sure you do not want to go out to lunch with us?  Really another salad… you get the picture.

I have now finished my fourth month of boot camp and completed my 60 day journey challenge.  My motto every day is:  This is a life style commitment, anything worth having you have to work for it and commit to it.  My ultimate goal is to change my health issues, live a longer and active long life.  Every day I do this for me and no one else.

September 3rd – today I started the Ultimate Reset program, which will last for the next 21 days, this is a totally different way of eating but I can do it and I will keep blogging to let you know how I am doing.

Until later,

Wanda
